Karmen kicked off her Human Resources career over 25 years ago. Moving to the big city was Karmen’s dream and she began her trek to a Human Resources career immediately after attending Capilano University where she studied business.
Her first big break was HR/Payroll to Earls Restaurants who kick started her career at an early age processing payroll for Earls restaurants nationally. After that she worked for 2 giant companies doing human resources, recruiting administration and advising, she was on her way to her next dream of starting a family.
Leaving her career behind she started a family and now has 3 beautiful daughters and is taking motherhood as her priority role. Staying active in the community she used her volunteering and administrative skills to manage the White Eagles soccer club. She also kept busy with her human resources skills assisting the president of the St. Michael Archangel Church with many fundraisers. Later with her youngest about to enter a full time school the timing was perfect to collaborate with Amanda her former colleague and start up their entrepreneurial dream of KAS Recruitment.
Today she is ready and excited to place superstars in your organization.
Amanda comes to the team with almost twenty years experience in recruiting and human resources. Before embarking on this journey with KAS, Amanda has been traveling the world primarily by bicycle since 2014. She left the corporate world and has been bouncing around the world visiting almost thirty countries
During her travels she has learned to speak Spanish, published her first book and learned to play the guitar which she travels with at all time; even on the back of her bicycle. When she’s not focusing on matching customers with new team members, Amanda works full-time on her personal well being. She often describes her full-time job as herself. She actively participates in the mental wellbeing community and is an ambassador for mental wellness. Most recently she participated in a program to promote mental wellness in women. Since leaving her corporate desk job she has proudly been featured in Human Resources Director Magazine for her adventures while maintaining her knowledge in the industry.
