About the Job

We are seeking Plumber Apprentices and Plumber Journeymen to join our team. These positions will be key members of our team who ideally will be working towards a journeyman certification or bring forth a minimum of 1 year of residential service experience and a journeyman certification. Candidates must be working towards quality and efficient installation, service, maintenance of heating and plumbing systems while ensuring customer satisfaction in the plumbing industry. These are full-time permanent positions that offer clothing and tool allowance, technology including iPhone, iPad & access to integrated software, competitive wages and an exceptional Extended Health benefits packaging including a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • Comprehension of plumbing system fundamentals, and design

  • Plumbing Red Seal / A or B Gas ticket * Cross Connection Certificate (not necessary but preferred) *

  • Ability to perform skilled plumbing tasks such as installing mid/highly efficient domestic hot water systems, forced air and hydronic heating systems, installing copper, cast iron, black iron, and plastic pipe

  • Diverse knowledge of plumbing, heating, ventilation, natural gas and DWV systems are required

  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure

  • Install and maintain water supply systems

  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)

  • Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer’s site

  • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers

  • Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work, as necessary

  • Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings, and designs

  • Complete field reports, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required

  • Provides technical support to customers

  • Is punctual, responsible, and flexible with hours of work

  • Working to support fellow technicians in resolving technical issues

  • Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition

  • Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training with apprentice employees

  • Gas Certification (or working towards)

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to new procedures

  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License & clean driving record

  • Proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers

  • Self-motivated, thrives in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines

  • Have a professional, positive and energetic attitude

  • Experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs an asset
