The Role
We need a Senior Accountant. We are hiring for a fast paced, automotive parts manufacturing/re-manufacturing facility in Abbotsford. Our client ships our product across North America and is recognized as a premier brand that supports the diesel truck aftermarket. This role is based in supportive office environment Monday – Friday and hybrid work is not an option. The Senior Accountant role is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing various financial reporting, budget and performance management models. You will also support the preparation of annual financial statements and notes. This individual also plays an integral role in the monthly financial reporting cycle including tracking accruals, preparing reconciliations of financial balances and providing analysis of financial results.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Assist in the compilation and review of monthly/annual consolidated and non-consolidated financial reports
- Maintain and update monthly operational metrics dashboards
- Compile weekly flash reporting
- Provide relevant commentary and analysis on financial results
- Assist and maintain the establishment, execution, and maintenance of all external audit requirements by completing all accounting processes and procedures
Forecast and Budget Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
- Prepare, analyze monthly department level expenses and variance report
- Produce and or support ad-hoc reporting and analysis when required
General Accounting
- Support the month-end full cycle accounting duties by completing month-end journal entries and account reconciliation
- Assist in supervising AR and AP functions
- Manage tax payments and filings
- Support payroll function
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of financial and operations standards, accounting policies and procedures
- Assist and support other finance functions as required.
